Carolyn Housman
City Action Manager
Carolyn joined the City of London Corporation to work more closely with London's City-based firms and to help connect them with the hundreds of community organisations in the immediate area. She enjoys working with the City Action team to ensure corporate clients continue to receive excellent service and local community organisations are well supported. Having worked in the public, private and third sectors, Carolyn is experienced in negotiating cross-sectoral relationships. She has international CSR experience and is available to help businesses set up formal partnerships with community groups.
As Community Affairs Manager, Carolyn manages several community investment programmes in addition to City Action. Carolyn is a Director on the Board of the School Governor One Stop Shop. She also sits on the Hackney Forum of the East London Business Alliance and participates in the interim Steering Group for the East London Business Place. Before joining the City of London Corporation, Carolyn worked on corporate responsibility issues at Cadbury Schweppes and Amnesty International. She holds an MSc in International Relations, a BSc in International Organisations and Ethics and a Certificate in International Business Diplomacy.

Corinne Phillips
Community Involvement Officer
Corinne joined the team in October 2007. Whilst studying Sociology at Nottingham University she also volunteered for charities Shelter, Focus and V-Day. Having chosen a career in the not-for-profit sector, Corinne spent several years at two national children’s charities, the most recent being NCH, as an Employee Volunteering Executive.
Corinne is looking forward to supporting existing corporate clients in the delivery of their employee volunteering programmes and also recruiting new businesses within the Square Mile to work with City Action’s community partners.
Living and working in Central London, Corinne enjoys making the most of the Capital’s culture and entertainment opportunities such as discovering new restaurants with friends and seeing new bands in live music venues.
