To contribute towards something different, use my skills in a new environment, have a new experience, add a different dimension to my job.

Can you describe your thoughts before you started?
I was a little nervous, but also looking forward to the experience
How did the session go?
I really enjoyed it, it was well organised and all the people I met were lovely. Culturally and socially it was very enlightening. I work very closely to the school and it is really easy to take a dim view of school kids in the Hackney/Tower Hamlets area. It was refreshing and all the kids were simply lovely. It was a great experience.
Do you feel that you developed or enhanced any skills by volunteering?
Absolutely, it was a chance to develop communication skills to deal with different people in a different environment.
Would you recommend this activity to other City volunteers?
