Oriel Securities and Blackfriars Settlement
City Action introduced the company to the Blackfriars Settlement, a multi-faceted community organisation located in Southwark, and following two exploratory meetings, a partnership was formed in July 2009. Oriel Securities have so far raised £18,000 for the organisation which made a huge difference to their health and social care projects, and arranged for Blackfriars’ annual review document and publicity flyers to be printed in high quality.
Blackfriars have also benefited from the expertise of a Senior Finance Partner who joined their finance sub-group, as well as another volunteer who has joined their social enterprise steering group. Additionally, volunteers from the company helped to deliver Blackfriars’ 2009 Christmas party and the partnering organsiations are now working together to develop partnerships between Blackfriars and other community focussed organisations.
