Providing Training
Your company may be able to offer IT courses or training in other aspects of staff development e.g. Management Training and Leadership Programmes. Access to these courses is invaluable to community groups, enabling them to function more efficiently. What are the benefits?
- Enhance key skills by providing training in a different environment
- Opportunity to utilise existing internal resources, rather than developing new community based programmes of activity
- Engaging and supporting communities by providing a valuable service
Things to consider
- You could run sessions on a particular subject for small groups of staff from voluntary organisations, for example a two hour course in Microsoft Access
- Alternatively, you could reserve a number of places on specific courses for members from the voluntary sector
