Digital Inclusion Workshop
What does the term Digital Inclusion mean to you? Is it something that your company could support as part of its corporate responsibility programme? The City of London hosts the national Digital Inclusion team and would like to draw your attention to some of the excellent initiatives that are supporting a broad range of vulnerable groups such as the homeless, substance misusers and deprived communities.
‘Digital Inclusion – Why IT makes a difference and how your company can be part of it’
Date: Friday 6th June
Venue: City Marketing Suite, Basinghall St, EC2P 2EJ
Time: 1.30 – 4.30pm
Digital Inclusion is about using technology to improve the lives and life chances of vulnerable people and the places in which they live. Consider these facts:
9 out of 10 of our most vulnerable citizens do not access the internet and are missing out on internet services that can support their social wellbeing
800,000 children from among the poorest households in the UK do not have access to internet based education resources at home
If you would like to register your interest in attending this event or find out more about this initiative please do not hesitate to contact the Digital Inclusion team via email or tel: 020 7332 3356.
