WHO WE ARE

What we do

Run by the City of London Corporation since 1998, City Action is a free skills-based matchmaking service for City-based companies and community organisations in the City and its neighbouring boroughs.Take the journey...

We aim to take our business and community members on a journey which provides them with opportunities to share skills and experiences through volunteering. As skills sharing experts, we interpret the requirements of both parties and accurately match both sets of needs.

Our membership community

City Action raises awareness and understanding between City-based companies and community organisations by providing access to an exclusive volunteering opportunities database and hosting networking events. We also provide a Volunteering Partnership brokering service for developing long-term relationships.

The City of London Corporation

With its roots in mediaeval times, the City of London is the oldest local authority in England. The historic and unusually diverse organisation has three main aims:

  • To support and promote the City as a world leader in international finance and business services;
  • To provide the highest quality local government services for the Square Mile;
  • To provide valued services for London and the nation

Its responsibilities extend far beyond the Square Mile as it provides a host of additional facilities for the benefit of the nation. These range from open spaces such as Epping Forest and Hampstead Heath to the famous Barbican Arts Centre.

Please visit the City of London website for further information.
