Our top 5 tips for volunteering success
Opus 2 International, a technology firm, joined City Action in 2014. After discussions with their City Action Account Manager, staff at the company were keen to partner up with an organisation where their technical expertise could make an impact. They chose ELATT (East London Advanced Technology Training) from a shortlist put together by City Action. In addition to providing CV and interview workshops, Opus 2 International has recently provided work placements for two ELATT students.
Volunteering makes business sense
City Action met with SME Alium Partners’ Rod McInnes, Marketing & Communications Manager, and Abi Vickers, Operations & Business Support Manager, who are now one year into their City Action membership. Alium Partners have launched a volunteering partnership with UpRising, a youth leadership development organisation.
