City Action businesses become members for two years and during this time we help members establish the foundations of a sustainable volunteering programme that’s unique to your business.


  • Dedicated account manager to support you with building a sustainable employee volunteering programme driven by both business and community need
  • Exclusive access to the City Action website, including hundreds of skilled-based volunteering opportunities to share with your colleagues
  • Access to a suite of resources aimed at embedding and measuring your employee volunteering programme internally
  • Invitations to a variety of networking events, webinars and workshops sharing best practice and celebrating success, including the Lord Mayor’s Dragon Award

After the two years, you can choose to become part of our alumni network.

To be eligible for City Action membership, your business should:

  1. Be based in or have an office in the City of London (Square Mile) and;
  2. Have limited experience of establishing an employee volunteering programme and/ or;
  3. Not have resource dedicated to employee volunteering
